Oklahoma Couple Hits an Elephant While Coming Home From Church

Yesterday in Enid, Oklahoma, an elderly couple driving home from church sideswiped an elephant on the highway. The 911 dispatcher did not believe them when they reported striking an elephant. Apparently, the animal escaped from a local circus while being loaded onto a vehicle. The elephant suffered only minor injuries and was treated at nearby Oklahoma State University Veterinary school. The elephant suffered minor cuts on a leg and a broken tusk when it tore into the side of the SUV the couple was driving.

Now, I kind of believe my daughter when she claimed to have seen two monkeys in the tree in our backyard one summer morning!
